I've not tried to use the AirPods when connected to the external monitor but using the built-in camera on the MBP.I have a set of wireless headphones that have a USB dongle that I plug into the monitor and this works just fine, too (assuming I remember to turn them on). I received a set of AirPods for the holidays and I'm generally enjoying using them with my 15-inch MacBook Pro (2018), which is running High Sierra (10.13.6). Microphone not working on Google Hangouts using Safari since 10.15.4 upgrade Hi, As per above - Hangouts was using my mic on Safari no problem last weekend but now no-one on the call can hear my audio (video is OK and broadcasting fine, but its silent). Whats the difference between Google Hangouts, Google Meet, and Hangouts Meet. The browser has not been allowed access to the microphone and/or camera in the computers security/privacy settings.
